What work needs to be done for the maintenance of weaving machines
 Hits:27 AddTime:2025/7/1 18:30:07
The maintenance of weaving machines is crucial for extending the service life of equipment, ensuring the quality of weaving products, and reducing downtime due to malfunctions. The maintenance details of different types of weaving machines (such as knitting machines, shuttle looms, circular looms, etc.) may vary slightly, but the core maintenance work can be summarized into the following aspects:

1、 Daily maintenance (before startup/after shutdown)
Daily maintenance is the foundation and needs to be adhered to daily, mainly targeting equipment surfaces, key operating components, and easily worn parts:
1. Clean and remove dust
-Use a soft bristled brush, compressed air, or clean cloth to clean the surface of the equipment of yarn debris, dust, and oil stains. Focus on cleaning the knitting needles, yarn guides, needle beds, transmission gears, and other parts to avoid impurities getting stuck and causing component wear or breakage.
-Clean the waste collection box under the body to prevent excessive accumulation from affecting equipment heat dissipation or normal operation.
2. Check the status of key components
-Check for wear, bending, and breakage of vulnerable parts such as knitting needles, crochet hooks, and sinkers. If any problems are found, replace them promptly to avoid affecting the quality of the fabric (such as missing or incorrect needles).
-Check whether the yarn tensioner and yarn guide hole are unobstructed, whether there is yarn entanglement or blockage, and ensure smooth yarn delivery.
-Observe the tightness of the transmission belt and chain. If it is too loose, it is easy to slip and affect the speed. If it is too tight, it will aggravate the wear of shaft components and need to be adjusted in a timely manner.
3. Lubricate the basic parts
-For exposed sliding guide rails, connecting rod joints, and other parts, add specialized lubricating oil according to the instructions (avoid using edible oil, which is prone to oxidation and deterioration) to ensure flexible movement.

2、 Regular maintenance (weekly/monthly/quarterly, adjusted according to equipment usage frequency)
Regular maintenance requires a more in-depth inspection of the internal structure and mechanical performance of the equipment, usually carried out at fixed intervals:
1. Comprehensive lubrication and maintenance
-For enclosed or semi enclosed transmission components such as gearboxes, bearing seats, and camshafts, regularly replace or supplement lubricating oil/grease (such as gear oil and lithium based grease), pay attention to the lubrication requirements of different components (such as viscosity and temperature resistance), and avoid mixing.
-Run the equipment for 1-2 minutes after lubrication to ensure even distribution of lubricating oil, then wipe off excess grease to prevent dust adsorption.
2. Mechanical component fastening and adjustment
-Check if all connecting bolts and nuts (such as frames, motor mounts, and transmission mechanisms) are loose, especially for high-speed running components. Use a wrench to tighten them to the specified torque to prevent vibration from causing component detachment or displacement.
-Adjust parameters such as needle density, needle spacing, warp feed, and winding tension to ensure compliance with weaving process requirements (can be tested through trial weaving samples, if there are uneven patterns or inconsistent tightness, recalibration is required).
3. Electrical system inspection
-Clean the dust on the motor, control panel, and wiring terminals, check whether the wires are damaged or aged, whether the plugs and sockets are loose, and avoid short circuits or poor contact.
-Test the sensitivity of electrical components such as sensors (such as yarn breakage detection, tension sensors) and solenoid valves to ensure timely shutdown and alarm in case of faults.
-Check if there are any abnormal noises or overheating during the operation of the motor (be alert if the temperature exceeds 70 ℃). If there are any problems, promptly inspect components such as bearings and carbon brushes (for brushed motors).
